It's a personal préférence.

I like Yellow, like thé sun, liké thé flames in a woodburner.

I went for a blue epoxy paint, it appears to be very durable, the company I bought it from can supply it in any RAL shade you like

Nothing can withstand a hot radial tyre on it - floor paint wise.

Epoxy or two pack.

Tiles break - your best option is hard power floated concrete with no finish to it.

I’ve had that problem in the past with cheap floor paint, not had it so far with this one, maybe a case of leaving the car outside until the tyres cool if that happens in the future.

My last garage had an ‘unfinished’ floor that gave off dust continually. After a year or so I decided to paint it and was recommended simple Wickes grey garage floor paint, thinned down so it would soak into the pores of the concrete. I gave the place a brush and good hoover, then laid the paint on with a roller on a broomstick.
I was working offshore at the time so I was lucky to be able to leave it five weeks to harden up. Next time round I gave it a second coat.

It wasn’t perfect, but that’s because the concrete was rough underneath, but it made it SO much less dusty and so much easier to sweep up muck, wipe up oil spills etc.

If you’re going to go to the trouble of polishing it down I’d spend the money on some sort of Epoxy, but it seems like a lot of work and expense for what it is. They always seem to use that system on American garage builds, as per garage journal.com, but they do have some nice finishes available in the paint.

I could not stop it from raising dust even with paint, the paint just came off with dust on the back. In the end I got a 9" diamond cup wheel and a dust vac and dust shroud and ground a few mm off the floor. That was it cured in a couple of hours. Now I just paint it when the paint wears thin.

Surprisingly it was a very hot day when I got my slab poured, I had a couple of garden sprinklers running for a few days to try to help it cure properly.

I wouldn’t paint it a colour, I’d just seal it with a clear coat. Although maybe that’s the same as light grey? Should be easier to look after in the future then? Can’t recommend anything though…

Actually it was just tamped down with a length of 2x6 and left pretty rough. I only paid for the concrete to be supplied and poured, not thinking any further than just getting it in.....

It left a pretty rough finish that was annoying when trying to roll a loaded engine hoist back and forth. The paint did improve that a little as it settled in the dips, several coats made it even better.

My guess is just completed, I have pictures of mine when just completed.
Doesnt look like that now …… The floor is still very clean and blue though where you can see it that is, I need a clear out already, starting to get garden furniture and an old dining room table and chairs being stored. That was not in the grand scheme of plans, my plans was a garage/workshop, her indoors thinks storage room.
