Toilet fitting costs

I have a flat I rent out that the toilet needs replacing but I live 90 miles away and have no spare time to go do it myself.

What kind of costs should I expect for a supply and fit of a basic toilet just outside of West London?

Normally I would but I don't have any free time to get there till November and it's leaking from the isolator valve

Plumber just quoted my mate 600 plus vat to fit one rad and plumb it into the existing system, the only tough part would be locating the pipes under the floor.

Why would you replace the complete toilet because of a leaking valve?
Just replace the valve.
When you say toilet isolator valve do you mean one of these

If so it’s a 10 minute job and isn’t even part of the toilet

trouble is if its rented property and in a block of flats , should it leak and leak into someone elses property the insurance company wants to know who did it ,,, receipt and details for a claim on their insurance , I dont do a lot of work on my rentals due to the chances of a claim coming back to bight . Crazy times but these days no one actually has an accident ,, its an incident and some one is to blame ,,, health and safety meets the personal injury free to claim thing has made a lot of folk quick to jump on the free money band wagon ,

It needs a new toilet because the flapper valve doesn't hold back the water anymore and the new valves I can buy don't fit inside the cistern as its tiny

I was there yesterday to fit a new flapper and that's when the isolator started leaking. I fitted it all 22 years ago so not surprised it's all going wrong.

I've been quote 150 to fit a new loo I supply plus a little extra for sorting the isolator which I think is pretty cheap

at that price ,,, to keep a tenant happy , Id be on the phone right now ,,, especially if they are a really good tenant . The money is really only a detail its the service that counts.

If this is a flapper valve, I don't recommend using a lurpak spreadable lid as a long term fix. The damp proof membrane replacement seems to be more durable
