I haven't had a quote yet. My mate is a mechanic he has done a scan and had a word with his mate who is a technician at peugeot and they have diagnosed the fault.Dealers for geniune item of map it out.
Pattern ones are hit and miss.
Plus to be honest these - depending on application - need to be fitted in pairs (sad I know).
How much have you been quoted?

I think he said the downstream nox sensor from peugeot was 400.
When you say these need to be fitted in pairs is that in every situation? Or is it a case of if i fit one the other is likely to go bad soon after?![]()
Got you. Thanks for that much appreciatedMostly unless I fit both upstream and downstream NOX sensors as a pair - I cannot calibrate them.
Then they bring the EML on at a later date.
Hi, I can just see the fault diagnosis flow chart now. -
Unit xxx faulty - fit new.
Same again - must have been dud, fit another.
Same again - who'd have thought two dud units - try again, third time lucky.
Same again - well, that's a first, oh well it's not my money, try another.
Same again - I wonder, oh look a wiring fault. where's the insulation tape.

This why mechanic wages are crap they require 3 attendances to fix the bloody obviousHi, I can just see the fault diagnosis flow chart now. -

think yourselves lucky Toyota newish previas was £1000 plus job 4 sensors advised to fit all four at the same time due to conflicting data from old and new sensor not matchingMostly unless I fit both upstream and downstream NOX sensors as a pair - I cannot calibrate them.

you been watching South main auto repairs ? mee tooI saw something like that on a US Youtube channel I follow, a dealer identified faults in 3 unrelated modules and quoted north of 7000$ to repair, the auto electrics specialist identified a corroded ground connection on the chassis that the 3 "faulty" modules relied on so cleaned the connection and cleared the faults!
It's all about having good diagnostic equipment, that tell you the actual meaning of the fault code, and the failure reason.Hi, I can just see the fault diagnosis flow chart now. -

The issue with pre and post SCR NOx sensor systems, is what sensor is failing.I haven't had a quote yet. My mate is a mechanic he has done a scan and had a word with his mate who is a technician at peugeot and they have diagnosed the fault.
