Looking for a fluid material that will set rock hard

I've used epoxy resin mixed with glass powder to make an epoxy type glass based filler....it sets rock hard and is a lot less mess than using the mats + it's far easier to shape it too.

....won't be as strong I think but I don't think you need strength. The glass powder can be bought online and you just add it to the resin mix get the consistency you need (just stir it in basically during mixing)....you can go from liquid to almost solid depending on the quantity of glass that you add (handy for gap filling).

You need to wear a mask with the glass powder as I imagine it ain't good to snort!

Id be trying something like this, first video I looked at, shows its quite easy to melt. Probably should be a bit hotter to make it easier.

Cheap eBay casting resin, polyester, epoxy whatever… bulk it out with fillers , for what it’s for you can probably go over the recomded maximum to reduce costs t further

Curve ball but what about 3d printing waste? Melts at a manageable temperature and I'm sure if you put a post on a forum you'd get plenty of failed prints to melt into blocks

You can add sawdust ( or wood flour if you’re being fancy) to bulk out casting resin. Might add richness to the sound too…
