Another weight set between rear faces will make it a lot safer if you have any reasonable weight in the vice.New vice, means new vice stand! Brakes discs, bit of tubing and extra weights if needed.

Customer supplied 24 plates with the 4 mounting holes in. My job was to put the ovals in them. Basic jig knocked up on table which is the purpose of this post really.
Just putting the idea out there.
It's actually very stable surprisingly, the added weights will be enough for what work I'll be doing on it. The jaw end is actually set back a bit as it was very front heavy, so I set it back to distribute the weight etc. I had a third disc and I was going to use it on the base as a triangle base. However it's footprint ment whacking my foot against it when I use.
