I don't know much about it, to be honest. Needs a motor, so I've asked meddings for a parts diagram and price list. The table has had the smile filled in, but also has a bit of the side chipped off. The plan is to get it running and just use it.

I was actually.... removing paint from the garage floor.... did a really good job
Made myself a wooden kneeling platfom and crash barrier to stop myself removing my knee caps..... it slanted away from me to protect the bits i dont get chance to use much as well
Time for a update on one of the things I've acquired in the past.
One of these brochures was for a Drummond Radial Drill and a local museum had one of the drills, so in March this year (took a while due to Covid) I took the booklet to the museum.... and I went again last weekend.....
Im glad to see that they had copied the booklet and had it with the drill they have
yesterday I acquired some Drummond brochures from the early 1900's. I was invited to have a rummage though a filing cabinet for brochures for local machine tool companies to donate to the local industrial museum.....but knowing that someone on here had a passion for Drummond lathes, it would be rude not take them for him and send them to him for free in the next couple of weeks.
and I also got a couple of catalogs of second hand industrial machine tools from the mid 1950's, and the local industrial museum dont want them, I can think of someone on here with a passion for old lathes who would probably like them. but it will be a few weeks before I get the answer on that.

I've been fixing this up, I had a go
I also brought one of those Lidl digital " vernier " wotsits. I checked it against my vernier caliper that I keep indoors, seems ok for me.
I'll have to see how well the battery lasts.

Well, last night... neighbour* had been fishing off the Fife coast, Isle of May, and did well with mackerel; dropped off a bucket with half a dozen, gutted.
I'll fess up; this was a new one on me so I've just grilled them after cutting them open and heavily peppering them. We're (well, me - she** doesn't cook) are having this:
* There's a row of seven miner's cottages behind us, when we moved in they were all permanent residences but now only two are - the rest holiday homes/lets. The neighbour I didn't know too well until last year; former world-travelled sheep shearer having sheared a million in his travels.
** But she has been growing some veg and the potatoes are hers.
Why am I telling you all this..? I know I waffle in my posts but I think that after a day spent with kids its nice to let off some steam with adults I know and like.

...... a dinky 10kg cheapie Vevor Steel Anvil. Just because whenever I needed to wallop something I've never got something to wallop it on/against, and the dinky one simply cos of space and I don't tend to wallop hefty things like a Smith would.
I'd have been happy with a small piece of Rail and was keeping an eye out for a piece.... but all the Rail I saw was quite a bit more money than this at £27.99 delivered - so I just ordered one.
