Ok, so this is the latest job that i dont really want to be doing (!) -
Its the inlet manifold / throttle body etc from a freelander 2. I need to swap it for the one on the car, and im just checking what tools i need.
The casting to the plastic part has security torx heads. Ive checked on the relevant forums, and evreyone says T30.
Shown in the photo is my halfords "advance" T30 - it doesnt fit. The hole in the end seems too small for the pin, so it just spins, and wont locate home properly.
The tool in the photo is useless for the job anyway, as ill need a 3/8 drive one for access, but if my existing t30 doesnt fit on the off-car part... well, i feel like im missing somthing?
Again, all the forums say T30. Google tells me T35 exists, but, again, evreyone says its T30, and im sure T30 with a larger hole would fit just fine.
Im basically working out what 3/8 drive bit to buy in preparation for the job.
Thank you.
