So nice to see someone doing it properly. I get so sick of seeing "ornamental" carp wrapped cold around a formerComponents for some gates and fencing, lots of smithing in this job, riveted joints aswell, more to follow.View attachment 360823View attachment 360824
With all due respect ain't no tree hugger but what is there to like here.

Appreciation of @8ob's talent in felling such a big tree safely, making it look easy![]()
To be honest that was my first thought, or it was in the way of something, I can't see why you would go to the trouble and expense of felling that for no reason. Here's me thinking it had root rot or was going to fall on someones house.

I'm no tree hugger either btw, I quite enjoy felling trees but that one is a bit above my skill level
I would give my right arm to be able to weld like that... actually I wouldn't as that would make it even more difficult. But you know what I mean!
Thankyou, I've sort of got the hang of straight lines, the little round fittings are fiddly and frustratingI would give my right arm to be able to weld like that... actually I wouldn't as that would make it even more difficult. But you know what I mean!
Superb job.
GOT THE HANG !!! What are they going to be like when you get any good at it??Thankyou, I've sort of got the hang of straight lines, the little round fittings are fiddly and frustrating
If you have a lot of them, maybe a little rotating table to put them on with a centre finder pressing from the top to keep the fittings in place.Thankyou, I've sort of got the hang of straight lines, the little round fittings are fiddly and frustrating

Now that is an anti theft chain for the Honda!Last of the links, hopefully anyway. That is 20 I have done in the last week, if I got a load more in I would likely buy some mig wire and argon mix but I must admit I do like stick welding so...
