Hi, To be honest the lady in red should just let the traffic get on with it because if there was another accident because of her directions she could be held responsible. There's bound to be some kn0b who will think "what's she doing? I'm taking no notice of her."

It's sad that this is the way people think these days. I've recently been past two incidents, one in mid Wales and one in the Highlands where a member of the public was directing traffic around an accident and doing a bloody good job of it.

The first one the fire brigade and a paramedic were attending to a biker who'd been knocked off his bike outside a petrol station. One of the firemen went and gave the passer by a hi viz jacket and let him carry on. Busy junction near a level crossing and two major roads through Llandovery. Traffic was flowing nicely, police show up and everything grinds to a halt whilst they setup stuff. Honestly the fire engine blocking the scene of the accident and the passer by were doing a far better job.

Second one was a similar incident in the Highlands and the local directing traffic was doing a great job at keeping things moving. Police hadn't arrived yet but a lorry had stopped to protect the scene of the accident.


Shame more people aren't like that.

Reminds of something that happened in the 70's on our local high street. An old chap had collapsed in the road at a busy 4 way junction, a couple of locals did a good job of keeping the traffic moving until a Police Panda (remember them) car turned up and parked to protect the casualty, Police took over directing the traffic so it could keep moving then a traffic car car turns up and parks completely blocking the junction causing massive tailbacks!

The best Lambo video I've seen was an idiot showing off his launch control. He launched it alright, tyres smoking, 100 yards, veered left and straight into a lamp post on a dead straight empty road. Pure magic!

The hill in front of my house is so steep where it joins the main road, it'd remove that low spoiler pdq (it triggers the front PDC sensors on the e60) so I could never drive one... even if I could afford one.

A friend of mine lives near a set of traffic lights and last year a young lad in a Jag with his girlfriend launched it from the lights and took out a low wall and the corner of his kitchen. The car was only a couple of weeks old and his dad had bought it for him. He came to pick him and girlfriend up and said to my friend "boys will be boys" and he got the reply, not for much longer if you get him another car like that.
