My uncle has no knowledge of computers and you cannot talk to the DWP anymore its all done online, His payment is overdue and now im doing a 25 mile round trip to help him out, So as i have looked into things manny others are having the same issues and some unaware that the may be entitled to payments, please check.

thanks for that.....we are trying to help a relative......

do u know that u are able to take care of ur uncle's finances for him....? it'll save a lot of time / driving....
we did it all for my mum.....
Just to add I'm getting deafer all the time and struggle to hear on the phone so have given permission for my wife to be the go-between me the GP and the Coroney care unit....
The power's that b understand all this now.....making it easyer for other's to help with on-line help.......

computers was down at council when we tried to do it online had a word with council manager so it was done by another way payment was sent via a giro

so there is other ways around the online by default

I really do disagree with online by default not everyone is savy with it and really it shouldnt be forced down your throat

Also new to me and just noticed if you qualify for pension credit and are over 75 it seems you can claim a free TV licence, which is annoying as they know my uncles age and what he claims so why don't they just work it all out and pass the info on?

the DWP havn't issues giro's for nearly 10 years now, the normal paymets are issued by bacs..... keep up with the times
