I just bought this ProMig 160E ,I bought it from a local guy who had never used it ,it came in the box ,i paid 400 quid for it .
A/ is it a bargain
B/ is it a decent welder
C/ will it weld Ali

Heard that for many years , by chance are you roofer man settings from 22b forum .
I just looked at your go cart thread and thought there cant be 2 mental roofer men .

It should be a decent little welder and the price you paid for a new machine is well under snap on prices...welding ally could be a pain as although a spool of ally wire can be bought it can cause more problems than smiles as i am sure people will tell you with more detail. All in all a good buy imho.

Well its simple , why ask after youve spent ,,, fools and their money etc .
I could write more , but you wouldnt be interested in my opinion as Im a moron ,, still Im not the one throwing money about and wishing for a great result I research BEFORE spending and buy what I need , not what I hope I may want ,,, and you call me a moron ,,,, lol .

Technically he just gave an unhelpful answer, you gave a hostile reply.

But fine; it wasn't a bargain, it is a decent welder, and it will weld Alu with a spool gun

Yes if its a Cebora in disguise, I used one for years on thinner steel and it never gave any trouble. Not sure about the price or whether that represents value for money compared to other machines in that price range .
