In theory there's no limit to how thick you can water jet, 1" is what will fit under the nozzle but the same equipment could cut thicker, you just have to slow the travel speed. The jet of water will spread out the further it gets from the nozzle so really thick parts have quite significant taper. The bigger capacity machines tilt the nozzle to account for the taper of the kerf.

Finished the ply and facias today
the roofer was good and came after 4.00pm and blacked it out so at least it's now water tight . He can come back when he can and felt it
I'm just happy the waters not p***ing in .Got a shed load of tidying and a few bits to finishing but I'll have a bit more floor space now I can get of all the buckets

Pretty amazing actually. Usually I'm the one who "makes all the mess".
Washing isn't even piling up aside from flannels and towels. Youngest tested negative and ******** off to her mates leaving unwashed frying pans in her wake. Not even venturing into her room for the post Covid clean up. Wife and son have been zonked out ill for the last week eating very little etc.
I've done my bit and fed / watered them. Kitchen is tidy with the dishwasher loaded as the plates etc are used and put on when full. Unloaded and put away when done. All surfaces are cleared and sanitised, ditto door handles and light switches. I've even cleaned the bog twice, well showed it the brush.
Do I get any brownie points? Nada! She summoned the energy to moan I hadn't watered certain of her plants. Bonus really 'cos I haven't watered any!

No, they just wanted a service trench and the pipes/cable put in, my lads are there tomorrow to reinstate and then we are tearing up the whole lawn to install loads of land drains.
