Nice one. I’ve the mars. Happy with it but as I know nothing about them I’ve no point of reference!

They don’t use a stl file, it’s a ctb which is a new one on me. What are you using for a UV light?

The worst thing about resin printing is the post processing clean/cure.

I used to brush clean with IPA, sometimes with an ultrasonic cleaner, followed by a cure with this UV lamp and small solar turntable...


I managed to get the Mercury X bundle on pre-order and now post processing is almost pleasant...

Standard resins tend to be brittle, you can get specialist ones fr manufacturers such as Siraya Tech which have some flex (e.g. tenacious) and these can be mixed with standard resin.I usually say resin prints for cosmetic applications, FDM for functional.

The good thing about MSLA resin printing is that you're printing a whole layer at a time regardless of what's on it.

This was one of my first prints on the Saturn using that UV lamp and turntable....

A bit under £200. The Mars was about £300 at the time, and he threw in loads of resin

I caved in and finally treated myself. Been drooling over them for a while.
Not as beasty as the one @GSR has - tried it on a few wheel nuts but haven't found a proper challenge for it yet.
I could try it on a Honda crankshaft nut but I've already loosened it once with the pneumatic, so it would feel like cheating.

I wouldn't want to hold it overhead for any length of time though.

I know. No symptoms yet for me. Tested negative Thursday and I'd test again if I do go.

I am the only one double jabbed and boosted at least. SWMBO had just the 1st jab, lad 2 jabs but not the booster, daughter no jabs and this'll be the second time she's had it.

My going to the pub would at least give them a chance to recuperate...
