125kg of self leveler.
Similar happened to my wife 18 months ago, heart block came on out of nowhere. Next thing she was taken into hospital for a pacemaker.I was in a similar boat 2 weeks ago... halfway thru welding the Disco chassis & had to stop for a short-notice Op to fit a pacemaker/defibrillator...
I can still do welding (up to 160 amps - is OK for me) but have to wait 6 weeks before I can lift my left arm higher than shoulder, in case it pulls the leads out (of my heart)
Too much redbull?!!Similar happened to my wife 18 months ago, heart block came on out of nowhere. Next thing she was taken into hospital for a pacemaker.
I got the all clear now and am back to work. Who knows what was up with me.
From the last photo's I saw I thought she was doing all the work anyway!Pretty sure I'm ok, but if I end up dead my wife will be looking for someone to finish off this job.
I was really pleased with how it worked out after reading so many stories about how self leveler doesn't self level. The thickest parts I have are about 30mm tapered out to zero at the left hand side. I used a trowel to smooth it at the edges and the rest seemed to smooth out itself. There is only a short open time so I was quick to get it all mixed and down one bucket after the other in quick succession.@RaceDiagnostics , how flat did it come out ? Your self levelling muck ?
How thick ?
Similar problem here to be addressed.

I used 5 bags of mapei 3240 from Screwfix. So not a cheap solution but probably easier for me than trying to get a flat cement screed down.
I also bought these on Amazon although I'm not sure the spiked roller really did anything. It didn't really seam to move the cement round much and bottomed out in the deep bits. The spiked shoes were handy though.

Seal first. Clean up very well to avoid grout haze then reseal. I used lafolin not cheap but came highly recommended.I bought some sealer from Screwfix, so do I seal then grout or grout then seal?
