Something to do with lowering compression because it’s a TVO model? I wasn’t really listening as it’s a rush job so I wanted to push on.

Ongoing with my disc sander.
The motor mounts and the disc guard have been drilled and bolted down. The holes for the guard bolts were converted to slots to ensure I had a bit of adjustment to play with and get the guard exactly in the right place.
I dug this adjustable angle table out of the shed. It was from an old Tool Tec sander/linisher that I bought years ago. The machine was cheap and gutless, so I repurposed the motor and kept a few of the parts. It just needed fitting.
Piece of round bar with a 12mm hole drilled through. I've put a flat on the table spigot and fitted a grub screw to secure everything in place.
I wanted the thing removable in case it was no good so welded it to some flat bar to attach with bolts. Grub screw is still accessible with an allen key despite the bolts.
Everything apart from the switch is now in place. The thread on the motor case for the cable gland is 3/4" unf and all modern ones are 20mm by 1.5mm. I am going to make a brass adaptor to join the two. Just waiting on the metric tap. The required die is already sat on top of the motor. Switch will be at the front, not where it is showing below. The table sits level and can drop to a 45-degree angle. I've mislaid the protractor that ran in the T-slot which is a shame. Not seen it in years, unfortunately.

Well , he can have dual coloured diagonals , half coloured dual colours , tripple colours and rainbow colours & that's just for starters , for a small triangle'd corner can also be coloured , then of course he can print the words in different colours

Knocked a quick bracket up for holding brown paper rolls. Currently a 500mm one but can just make a new bar if I get wider. No fancy cutting edge, just run Stanley along the beam for near enough square.
Just 2 bits of 100x50x6 angle left from a job, length of 16 round and some washers and r clips.
I got the paper to make templates for these.
Which seemed to land in a nice pattern when I chucked them on the floor after plasma cutting them out of 6mm plate.

Taking apart the chainsaw I bought. I want to refinish it having gone this far, also finding that the ultrasonic cleaner fades the old paint even though I just use water and dish soap.
I also designed new stickers, getting them printed is the real problem though, since I only need a one-off.

The barrel looks to have a few score marks by the port in the photo , are there any signs of score marks or a different colour on the piston or barrel that indicates wear on the piston or in the barrel . It would be a shame if there is seeing you've stripped it this far . If there is and you consider fitting a new barrel & piston check the crank bearings and fit new seals & crank case gasket as a matter of sound engineering practice .
Many a time I'd have chainsaws brought in to my plant hire that had obviously been cleaned up , given a new air filter & tinkered with but still wouldn't run properly . All usually due to either crank case compression ( scored or worn barrel & piston ) or too little crank case pressure due to worn crankcase seals .
Many a time the all knowing owner would try to argue the toss as to what was wrong , so in the end to save me wasting time & my money I made up a taken down spark plug braised to a short pipe then brazed to an adaptor to which I fitted a proper pressure tester gauge with pressure release button .
As soon as someone came in with a Husky, Partner , Jonner . Sthil chain saw or disc cutter etc. the first thing I would do in front of them was remove the plug and do a pressure test ( wet & dry ) on the machine . Then show the customer what a new or well repaired machine should be showing & give them a quick repair cost in parts & labour .
Once they saw that their machine was getting to the uneconomical to repair stage they usually purchased a new machine off me

Finished this off today...
Ground source heat pump, chemical dosing pots, separators, heat meter all fitted. Drop in place and connect up.
Smart heat meter that will connect to the customers central computer system to monitor temperatures etc.
Just needs running up, insulating, and the drip tray fitting. Then a quick polish up on the frame.
