You have certainly considered this, but is the hole/tube accessible from one or both ends?
I would worry with the rubber ones that removing it once you have tightened the tube into the block might be a challenge. If the tube is blind, it has to come out the same way it goes in, and by pulling on it to remove it, you will be expanding it. Do an install/remove test cycle before you screw the tube into the block.
WIth the Joe Pi one, you have to stop the female-threaded part rotating while you tighten the countersunk screw. You almost need to replace the screw with a loctited stud (that you can grip from the outside) and a countersunk nut or washer. That would also allow you to use a locknut or pair of locknuts higher up the stud. The double-nutted aspect would allow you to separate the mandrel expansion torque from the tube tightening torque.

Righto, now you can see why gripping the outside is not possible, the outside is a shroud:

You don't say what torque you need to apply but for ultimate grip, you could superglue a brass rod in there. Might want to experiment with how easy it is to clean off. Heat and acetone works but might not be workpiece friendly...
Maybe there is a better threadlocker product out there that can be dissolved out cleanly.

Think I’d be more worried about damaging the bore with it. Guess thats why the real thing is brass…

I have been doing this for a while you know, anyway, my interpretation, started with a bit of EN24 in the lathe:
Machined one end down to 6mm and then bored it right through at 4.1mm:
Then I made a series of collars from a it of Colphos, reamed them to 6mm and carefully turned the outside to 8.75mm:
I had ordered O rings with a suitable size already and they had arrived in plenty of time, inserted into the piece of barrel and the threaded rod tightened up the mandrel was wedged firmly, this might just work you know!
As soon as the replacement barrel arrives I will give it a whirl.

I know now you're telling me you've been doing it for some time. Above though you say "exactly that" in reply to a picture of a brass tool with a splined feature which engages in the rifled bore. I assumed "your design" would be "exactly that" except in EN24. If that had been the case (which it transpires it is not) then you might risk damaging the bore due to the relative hardness of a steel tool rather than brass.
An observation which is entirely consistent with your very first post...
I am assuming getting it out is the issue since it looks like it would tighten up every time the gun is fired. Again I guess it will self-tighten more than the <unspecified> torque you apply during assembly?

Yeah I didn't pick up on that.
You can always find a fight if you want one but ten out of ten for sticking your hands up. A couple of people on here have left because of the bickering, perhaps we should take time to stop and reflect once in a while and we should all be a bit less RIGHT perhaps?
