I was on about those evil chainsaw jobs. Nasty things. There are two distinct types. Three toothed blades, which are generally considered safe, and has UK brands manufacturing and supplying them, mine is a Saxton. They will still eat flesh if careless but they are not going to kick or be uncontrollable.
Many toothed, circular saw type blades. These are considered bad and supply was recently banned by HSE? There was a thread about it.
my brother had that problem at least once, he was sorted out with a special metal saw blade for a 9" grinder (that they won't give to just anybody because it's so dangerous), my plasma saw a bit of action too100% it’ll get where a grinder won’t. That’s from 1st hand experience also.
No one has asked (unless I missed it) what he wants it for! You can’t cut wood or laminate with a grinderI bought my mini sawzall to cut down some lorry bodies. 300mm needed to come out the length. The body is some hideous laminate that eats jigsaw and ripsaw blades. Milwaukee do an “eats anything” blade which wasn’t brilliant but was loads better than the alternative.
Is it still for sale???I’m selling my makita it’s corded but decent enough. Used it a couple times myself.

How?!?I almost lost a thumb to a Dremel, with a small blade in it. Got a nice Z-shaped scar from it.
How?!?All I've ever lost with a Dremel is my patience, poxy little thing.

im one of these people where teenagers should be fully aware of the dangers of power tools they are not a toyMods, can I post a picture of a lad I know and his accident with one of those wood carving blades in an angle grinder? Don't worry there's no claret and everything's intact. Just some stitches.

they have dangerous consequences as long as the pic is not fully graphic ( parts hanging out and full of blood ) i believe it should be allowed on an open forum
Agreed, if you tell me someone got injured with a xyz I'll believe you, I don't need to see their guts on the floor to persuade me something's dangerous.i'm personally not one for gory pics, no thanks.
not over sensitive. i saw an accident in a car and the blokes guts were spread all over .and i used to shoot rabbits and there was nothing left of em just looked like mincemeat it dont bother me but whats the point of showing it on hereI've asked the question privately and been told I must absolutely not post it. I'll openly say I think it's being hugely overly sensitive.
You always could. I've got one for a monster black & decker 7" grinder that is so old it's got bakelite plastic on it.
but whats the point of showing it on here![]()

Newbie comes along and doesn't read past someone recommending one of those chainsaw wood carving blades...orders one...
