What do you call these?

Ever since I was a kid at home my dad called these dwangs:

Not sure if it was just a local name for them, when I was a student, I got funny looks calling them a dwangs, anyone else use this term?

Always known them as a Tap handle or Tap wrench.
As opposed to a Die Stock/Holder which takes the dies.

However, those are bar/flat tap wrenches and there is a T bar style as well - Isn't dwang scottish for a horizontal bar or noggin? Could that be a connection?

got these a while ago.....not strong enough to use em in anger tho.....
the small tap wrench is for 8-12mm taps.....
I'll clean em up, oil em and hang em on the wall for show....

this is not a big willie competion......hahaha....
