My incredible old Phillishave is over 20 years old. I assume it used NiCads. One overnight charge lasts 2 to 3 months of daily use. It really is incredible how batteries can last that long. Mind you I do run it with the blades removed to totally and utterly discharge it before recharge.

I've got one of these by WAHL, model # 9916.
Don't have the box any more, threw it away a couple of years ago. I find it only needs charging every three months or so.

The Whal uses NiMH. The Philips, which I currently use, is a "slimline" thing with a small NiCd or NiMH battery which doesn't run for long before needing a re-charge. I replaced it with a new one not too long ago. Now that I've got used to the wonders of Li-ion batteries in my garden hedge trimmer, there's no going back

Yup, at the end of last year I bought a Braun BT5260 - was half-price (£32.99) on Amazon at the time. It uses Li-ion and I'm pleased with it. Currently £43.99 direct from Braun, which is (at the time of writing this) a few quid cheaper than Amazon.

Philips one blade, no idea what sort of battery but very good product, blades seems expensive but last ages, blades are cheaper on Philips subscription system.
Had mine about 4 years now and no complaints at all.

For my barnet I use a Hatteker. It comes with a spare battery. The charge lasts ages.

I bought the same one off of Amazon after a recommendation on here, though it was £10 more at the time… Generally pleased with it but only thing I don’t like is the combs are a bit flimsy (if you’re clumsy like me), I’ve just shelled out £22 for a new set, can’t be had individually

Mine is this one lasts ages comes with 2 battery's also cuts down to 0,8mm
