What are these pliers, Surgical?

Does anyone know what these are, the only writing on them is "Australian hand made" and "Surgical Supplies Brisbane". It would have most likely been bought at a farm auction.

We had suspected that is what they were but couldn't find any pictures of similar ones.

I should dab a bit of TCP on your ear after you've used 'em mate ....

I use a similar version for making alignment marks on leather or vinyl for upholstery work. You can get them for £6 upwards on ebay.
