The NR20 tig torch, as it arrived, its leaky.. loosely assembled kit of parts. It appears a common problem that the face of the swivel head is rough - its not turned and a bit of a loose fit in the sillicone handle.
First thing was to file it flat and smooth, then I stole an oring from a wp17 back cap. Using two back caps for leak testing.
I notice the banjo screw the oring seals ok but its still not the best fit. I added a chunky green pyrex lense oring in the gap behind the red oring. Result is I can have it slightly loose without leaking - ofcourse for electrical contact it needs to be tight, but now Im confident I wont be wasting any extra gas.
ToT states that the identical looking CK banjo bolts fail where the plastic becomes brittle, atleast on the air cooled handles, so I'll turn a spare.
