I am getting started as a hobby welder and I want to weld to a high standard. Got a few DIY projects lined up like making some railings and gates etc. I invested in a level 1 course in MAG welding at the local college which I have just completed. I want to buy a machine which I can use in my home garage/workshop. What machine would you recommend I buy? What features am I going to find useful and what would be overkill - features or power I don't need and will never use?
Im currently torn between a relatively high quality machine like a Portamig/Oxford/Techarc machine or a lower cost machine like a Sealey - What's the difference.
Any advice would be most welcome.
