Yep, but an apprentice would probably get paid peanuts for years while learning the trade. Then the company still wants to pay smallish wages because of the "Where else you going to work attitude" because there cant be many companies around that do metal spinning these days, well not that make trophies.

It will come a dead or dying art, apart from far eastern tat.

Just look at HGV wages over the past couple of years, its gone from "If you don't like it, leave because there's loads of others to take your place" to I'll give you £2000 joining fee if you stay and some decent wages....

TBH, The company have not been able to recruit apprentices. Most of the young kids want a nice clean easy job. Not one that could take lumps out of you if you don't pay attention
