I had a 1973 RHD Auzzy HQ ute, I took out the 5ltr Holden V8 and fitted a twin turbo GM v8 diesel mated up to a Getrag 5 speed manual gearbox. Very nice truck but totally impractical.
This shape, its the auz equivalent of the El Camino.

I got, u may have seen a 30's Commer 2,5 ton bread van….
had the chance of a 4LK Gardener to put in it…
but just to long another 9 inches would have done….
know ing what I know now would have stretched the front end to fit it…..
had a preselect box from an old Rolls… but fancied an auto from a Dodge D as the cab is a bit tight….
there was def no room for the Cummins D….haha
