Shame, it does a neat job on thin ply and you can get close to the edge without it splintering.

You could make one: cut off a bit of drill rod or even an old drill bit. Fit that into something like a spring fuller. Use the sharpened (hollow ground) bit to punch a relief hole in some mild steel, brass or even delrin etc. (anything harder than plywood). I would suggest an arbor press, flypress or even a vice rather than using a hammer. Fibrous material like plywood does not react well to shock impact in my experience.
