Sorry about your loss ,it's never easy .

That's what's angered me. I can't grieve for my mom as I know she is in a better place. ( where ever that may be)
What really does concern me is the elderly without family must be really struggling.

We had the big storm on Friday with power cut in the village for most of the day. I checked up on my elderly neighbors

I’ve now been adopted by Roger and Mary. Roger fell over and broke his hip. Then he fell again and broke the other one. He was an active 80 year old, now house bound. They want me to pop over every day and check up on them, I think they need company. Thier kids don’t bother at all

Get well soon, the "food" seems dire at most Hospitals, all processed ping meals, how do they expect the body to recover/heal eating that rubbish

When Mrs Robo was in I was taking her food parcels every couple of days.

Last meal was veggie bolognaise. Quite nice and healthy but so smothered in salt none of us could eat it.
They gave one chap with gallstones a cheese omlete and he was ill all night.

Exactly the conversation i had (rather loudly) with the consultant and registrar last time I was in ... not really their fault but ....

My old man is in rehab at the mo after braking his femur. Reckons the food is pretty dire. Gets a choice of main meal then never gets his choice!

Virgin Care are the contractors there.
