I've read alot about the Hobby air over in the US as a fresh air feed which doesn't require a compressor.
As these are not available over here in the UK I've come across this
Could anyone help me understand if this is similar to a hobby air and would be safe to use to do some painting (DIY) on my car, as well as some other grinding, shot blasting etc. Essentially ensuring a safe breathing environment and protecting my lungs.
As I understand it, this MSA turbo flow is a full face mask that has a turbine, placed a large distance away from the work area in a fresh air environment, and feeds fresh air to the mask, not by way of compression (but still creates a positive air pressure in the mask I assume)
