Playing around with some gasless

After having the wire for months i finally got round to playing with it using Lincoln 211 mp which is only for a max thickness of 12 mm and can only be ran with single pass
I thought the results where pretty good for a just playing around I really wanna try the nr232 wire
One flat one vertical using my paton 350 welding plant wire is 211mp 1.1 mm gasless wire

Sorry, I'm not addressing your post directly but Innershield NR-211-MP can be used for multiple passes so no need to change for that reason.

Thats OK i was just going off what I read about t1 wires and assumed it was only t8 sismic wires that could be used for multi pass applications

E71T-11 can be run multipass ,T8 too , E71T-GS can't

the 0.045 wire that you're using is only rated for 5/16" actually, you need the bigger wire for 1/2". I thought there was something about single pass only too, but I can't remember where I heard/read it, and the datasheet doesn't mention it.

It's fun stuff to run, isn't it It's SO easy to run out of position.

I had a play around with some outershield and it runs very similar, digs in a bit harder and hotter but needs gas as well.

E71T-11 can be run multipass ,T8 too , E71T-GS can't

Absolutely right. G - General, S - Single pass, it's a get-out-of-jail card for cheaper wires which don't conform to the other designators as set out by AWS, IMHO
