as above how big a scratch can be removed from window screen before it need replacing
Yeah, but plastic vs glass ?Best of luck if your nail can feel it in glass, we polish helicopter screens it is hard work to remove a scratch that deep in plastic, it can be done but time is money then there is the material cost
get the da sander on itBest of luck if your nail can feel it in glass, we polish helicopter screens it is hard work to remove a scratch that deep in plastic, it can be done but time is money then there is the material cost
The previous owner of my car must have used valve grinding paste in his window washer, judging by the scars across the screen. I’ve been meaning to ‘accidentally’ smash it, and get a new one fitted on my insurance, but five years have gone by and i’ve not got around to it yet.....![]()
That's what I meant BM, glass would require Herculean workYeah, but plastic vs glass ?
Not as crazy as it sounds, I've improved scratches on glass using a DA with a very fine grit. When you are at the replacement point you have nothing to lose.get the da sander on it![]()
previously I was told if you can feel the scratch with your nail, its too deep to polish out
I thought Autoglass uses some magic repair patse to fill in deep scratches?
No experience of it, just word of mouth...
With depth comes distortion.
Polish a small aeria the edge is quite steep and can produce distortion.
