'Er indoors wants an electric needle felting machine and was about to send £150 to Russia for this (plus £50 approx fees for import).
They are not available as a commercial machine from anywhere else as far as I can see, so I told her that I will design and build one that is safer to use! Maybe biting off more than I can chew because she wants it yesterday of course. I have just started a print of a manual needle holder, once that checks out I need to think about a slide and motor assembly to drive it. Not got many ideas in mind at the moment, but I think that if I buy a motor and get some Meccano bits out, a design may well present itself.
Actually I do have a couple of old Dremels and cordless drills with stuffed bearings or dead batteries, so maybe they could form a basis or at least provide a free motor?
This is the needle holder I am printing...
