I dont know what im doing with this stuff -
The "wool" polishing pads (hook and loop style for my DA sander) are pounds, not pennies to buy, and im not sure how im supposed to be using them.
Im trying to get a good finish on wood with one of the osmo products, but the same would apply elswhere i think.
Basically, if i use them dry, not a whole lot happens, but, if i add "product", theyre, basically, a one hit job, as the product is never comming out.
Is this really whats meant to happen? Theyre about a fiver a hit, i think?
Ive tried using the foam style ones before, but the issue is that the things i want to use them on, often have edges, and the foam things just catch an edge and tear up instantly.
Todays job is applying some polish to alloy to seal it (prior to getting anodising sorted) and, again, id like to use a tool to do that, but it will never come out of the pad.
I just feel like im missing the point!
Thank you
