You DO like creating challenges for yourself [and your friend], don't you.
Those challenges make seeing it sat in your workshop all the more enjoyable.

Pop a big lump of wood on the table and wind it up to max height to support the weight of the head whilst unscrewing. It's getting serious ...
the good thing: I can pick up an Arboga U2508, the Myford ML7 might get company;
the bad thing: the drill-mill is in a narrow basement with a very low ceiling height and a very narrow, steep, angled staircase as the only access.
The machine should be broken down into as many parts as possible, there are only two of us and we are no athletes.
I'm thinking about one of the well known engine jacks - it's the head that worries me the most:

My choice would be the familiar textile loops, choking - so tightening itself, end by loop - passed around narrowings.
If I make it as above, the head will be quite front-heavy with the gearbox, so more like this:

Question:
- Is the head hanging securely?
- Can I break anything with this solution?
- Do I have to remove all switches, levers, etc. from the head to rule out damage?
Further:
Once we have the head on the ground, we want to secure it upside down on a piece of cardboard cut to size on a hand truck with straps.
- Is there any soup coming out of the head? This is the oil sheet:

What do you think?
Any other suggestions?
Thank you very much!

Won't be an issue, my stabilisers are only rated to 40mph.With the sensors fitted do you have to have the wheels balanced incase you go above 50 mph?

Funds going to MIS to pay off our consumable account with out hitting our limite reserves.

Just been round at the bike and they transmit every 30 seconds unless they notice a sudden pressure drop, which if it falls below the set minimum pressure it sounds an alarm which is bleeding loud through the helmets intercom...
I think they transmit constantly, ...
Better tie that downMy Landy is out in all weathers, decided to buy it a waterproof cover to see if it will protect what is left of the paintwork, never mind the water ingress from the front doors and the windsreen rubber ( hope to renew all this year).
So gave it a quick wash
