Can anyone recommend a corded/mains mini angle die grinder for Roloc's

Hi all,
I've been looking for a mini angle die grinder that I can use with Roloc 2" sanding and striping disks. I want to use it in car restoration work, accessing small, tight spaces. I have a normal 115mm angle grinder already.

My compressor is not really up to running a air-hungry version, which appear to be the most popular type.

I like the look of the battery operated Maiwaukee M12FDAG Fuel (https://www.sgs-engineering.com/mil...5Cm6heTR1vBEvdCMs3W3K5wr167RAfPkaAkgwEALw_wcB) as I have other M12 powered tools. However, my 2.0 amp battery will only give 5-7mins working time so I've been thinking about getting a corded mains version.

The only one I've found (Katsu - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282513662140?hash=item41c72060bc:g:b7YAAOSwR29ZE7yV) seems a bit flimsy and would need an adapter to take the Roloc's.

I run dynabrades off air , and they work really well , wee bit air hungry but plenty of power and do a great job , Ive straight die grinders that are electric , but just not as good by a long shot ...
not the mains battery answer your looking for , but dont rule out air ,,, and there are cheaper alternatives to dynabrade too of course.

You can get a Roloc adapter that will fit a standard corded or cordless fixed or variable speed angle grinder with M14 x 2 threaded spindle:

I have the Katsu mini-AG ( which is uncannily small ), and also the Katsu 280W variable-speed straight grinder. I do not think they are flimsy, although the straight grinder does get warm quickly.

I have an m12 milwaukee polisher and get a reasonable amount of useage from it before the battery flattens.Possibly 20mins.

I’ve got the m12 right angle die grinder which I use for roloc. To be fair, for the money you are looking to spend on a mains one, just buy some Chinese batteries off eBay. I got 4 6ah at £14 each and that’s more than enough to use them in rotation

I find the small size on the air tools make it worth the bother , same as running roloc on a grinder , the size of the head becomes an issue , if theres enough space to run a full size 115 grinder run one with a rubber disc and pads to suit . a straight die grinder gets into the very very tight corners better than most things any way.

and air does a lot of other things too , always handy to have at hand . even if its only blowing dust away , or spraying acf50 ,,, etc etc etc

yes its a faf to start with ,, hoses and a compressor etc ,,, but its like oxy acet , once you have it to hand you will wonder how you ever got by without it .

totally agree with drivers , and drills , but for ultra compact not so much ... best have both lol

very true but how often would you use one out of the workshop and out in the sticks and the size of battery aint small and light

I try very hard not to be out in the sticks needing a roloc to polish down something ...

I try very hard not to be out anywhere in this weather come to think of it.
