sites like amazon, itunes have proven that its viable to make more money on there servers than sites with them on

why do you think disney and the discovery are now only showing via there servers

Wasn't there a court case a while ago where someone had died leaving everything including a massive iTunes library to someone who couldn't access it because Apple said it could only belong to the person who paid for it.

I hate the interface on Steam and i hate the way they licence some games but not others.

But I wouldn't be without it, it's far quicker and simpler than faffing on with DVD games.

I've had at least 5 refunds from them over the last year.
Need to do it from purchase history iirc

Platform came about as a means to keep there games up to date when online multiplayer boomed and grew into an online portal for games and software.
