This time last year I seen what I thought was a whacker plate in skip. On further inspection it was in fact a whacker. I got it home and serviced it and put a new belt on it as It didn’t have one. Worked perfectly and still does to this day.

They’re surprisingly powerful for 12v. I also recommend the M12 Stubby Impact gun and since I’m spending your money the latest fast ratchet too

This one that I got the other week this is really good, used it a few times already, just need to find a socket set to replace mine. Some of them have had it.

As far as socket sets go, teng are reasonably priced. I’ve never had any problems with warranty either. Why I stopped buying strap on is the warranty became a battle of wills toward the end

I want the ratchet impact thing but I don’t think I can justify it haha, only other thing I’d like really is the angle drill.

I’ll have a look. I want a 16pc set. I have a socket rail and some foam coming to make my own inlay for it all to fit in one box.

Snap on impacts and drills are so rubbish. The guy at work has them, he really doesn’t understand how crap they are.

They used to be very good.
But I agree, they are pants now. The are trading on their past good name.
When I did Lorry Loader cranes, we had Snap on Man, Mac man and a indipentant man come round in their vans.
I stoped using Snap on when it became imposible to buy anything, unless it was on Credit. Plus the stanbdard of the tool range was disapointing.
Phill said it was because the tools are now made outside of the USA.

Toolsetter to interface with Mach3 on the Mill, given to me by a very generous Scotsman yesterday:



Yesterday I set off reasonably early and went to visit one of @Hood 's friends in Glasgow, he very generously spent a couple of hours explaining the function of the Controller I have just bought and demonstrating it on his Lathe, I left feeling as if I should just cut out all the pain and buy a machine with 2" capacity up the spindle and live tooling and be done with it. I might just do this. I am very grateful to Forbes for his time, it took me four and a half hours to get up there but three to get back, I didn't get lost on the way back! I DID find some extremely large potholes though but that is another story.

Not sure if that will work with the IP-M, it needs encoder inputs and if I recall the IP-M can not accept the Enc Module

Just looked and afraid I was correct You may get away with just using normal digital inputs and configuring them in Mach for A+/- and B+/- for one of the encoders. That will assume you have 4 spare inputs.

Just another thought, the digital I/O on the IP-M will be 24v so you will likely have to convert the 5v from the encoder to 24v for the IP-M. I think I did that at one time when I was beta testing a Scorpion controller but that was a long time ago so don't recall exactly what I did.
