I did similar, 3D printed some spheres to go over SWA when I struggled getting it around some tight corrugated conduit. Through hole allowed me to drill and pin so I could really give it some back an forth action:

I am a stupjd @#£&, forgot half of my alu sheet is anodised, lots of gas wasted. The key holder I left ages in NaOH with little effect, I think it was just too cold, but the others bits I forgot. Couldnt get a tack and blew holes. Then realised, abraded the surface and may have saved it. Took ages to file the excess back.

Tomorrow Im going to heat up my NaOH and strip my remaining sheet to save me doing it again!

Also found some 4mm Aluminium, bit manky but I tried the brush look and it came out ok,

Got it bent up with the lower tooling I made the other day, worked well.

Now if only I knew of some place local that did anodising, well I do but they have been a hit or a miss any time I have put something in and you keep getting told to come back in a few days and eventually you get it 2 months later

A modification to a Lidl 12V tyre inflator. Two reasons:

1) The original hose usually splits by the mounting hose tail on the inflator.

2) Need the extra length to reach the rears on the van.

We fought on with installing a very awkward valley gutter all day yesterday, but I had a little bit of time last night to make a couple of stainless bbq ashtrays. Took more time setting up the punch than it did to fold these.
