The same reason they delivered CO2 to be filled into extiguishers.Ok so I've been working today Christmas Day ....milk tanker driving .
So the only other trucks about today were other milk tankers oh and a home delivery calor gas tanker
Seriously wtf Why on earth would calor deliver on Xmas day !?
My friend was not impressed in having to go in.

According to Wikipedia the 2011 Census reported 8.7% of the population of England were Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish and other religions not celebrating Christmas. Given this was only 5.7% in 2001 it is now probably over 10%.
Add in those Christian denominations that celebrate Christmas on 7 January then there is a worthwhile market for 25 December deliveries.

...good point, but it probably doesn't take a lot of complex planning for them to get their calor delivered on the 24th or 26th, so that the other 90% can have a day off

I had to nip out this morning and there must have been half dozen cars queuing at the local McD drive through at 9am!
If the car is on the roadside surely they need to drive home?
Or do you mean home start (pedantic mode off) my son used to do recovery and working Xmas peed him of the most due to !@#$%^^& he was of on the 23rd till 4th Jan. Much happier now.

And my last job of the day, she'd abandoned it (unlocked too) and ****** off home because she didn't want to wait.
Well guess who else didn't want to wait and went home..
Good thing they paid me OT for it, didn't get a single tip..
