The only thing I ever actually want for Christmas is a selection. Owt else is a bonus.
Was gutted one year when my mum decided I was too old for selections, (I was only in my 30's), & didn't get me any. That was the first & only year I've never had one.

a stage 3 head for christmas, wow , you were spoilt as a nipper ,at 21 we would get something up to a fiver! envy really, I worked ghosters ,weekends and extra nights to get the money up together for my very second hand mexico.

mine lasted less than two weeks and I blew the engine, many more extra shifts to get a crate motor from ford and fit it over the week end ...

My dad and I rebuilt mine, rebored with 1700 powermax pistons, hi capacity oil pump, big wing sump, vernier adjustable timing chain, twin 40 webers and a Janspeed manifold and exhaust, it went well.

A few years ago my wife lost her engagement ring and dropped lots of hints that she wanted a new one for Xmas, so I purchased a China chicken ( the kind to store eggs) and put the new ring inside, come the day all I got was a grumpy thanks and she was grumpy all the rest of the day, in the end I said for Christ sake go and look inside the chicken needless to say I was on a promise that night.

Well, I didn’t expect anything and I wasn’t wrong. One phone call to my sister and that was it for this Christmas regards family contact. A lost episode of Morecambe and Wise is about all that is worth watching tonight. Bah Humbug.
