BOC and Volkszone - Gas Offer

'Tis added. Before anyone says anything, the spreadsheet assumes you're paying the cylinder rental annually, not monthly. And I've used 17.5% VAT, to save me changing it in a couple of weeks...

Well I signed up to the BOC offer this morning

as a heads up this offer is ending on the 18/12

Thanks for that - didn't realise it ended on the 18th so I phoned up at 11.30PM from the Alps (here skiing) to order mine

Nice chap answered, had some idea what the offer was about and has emailed the appropriate person.

Hopefully I will be getting a call tomorrow - anyone know if you have to pay over the phone or at the depot?

Pay at the depot when you collect the bottle. You have to sign a contract form when you pick the bottle up.

My local BOC depot is about half a mile away from me, I never even knew it had a shop, it was like Aladins Cave, pricey though.

I paid over the phone as my local depot is juts a sub agent not a BOC depot.

Yep - just got my call back this morning. Very helpful chap.

They can take a cheque at the depot - (want to put it through the farm accounts - get my VAT back )

Had to quickly create an account on Volkszone - wasn't going to push my luck asking for the details to be sent somewhere else!

Picking up in the new year.

Picked my bottle up this afternoon, looks a good size bottle. paid £35 for bottle rental and £25 for the gas.
Good offer though, especially as adams gas courier delivered prices have shot up to £70 a refill for a 9.4ltr bottle.

Coo , thanks for posting this otherwise I would not have seen the offer . Picked up my bottle today size Y Argoshield light , just about lifted it into the car its not light , Justin had sent a fax to SWF in Londonderry four weeks ago and they said to me when I arrived this afternoon ' we know about you ' they checked my driving licence and electricity bill and I was out of there within 5 minutes no messing about whatsoever , this has to be the best customer service I have ever seen in my life , Currys/Asda/Tesco you have a lot to learn . When I spoke to Justin early December I asked him could they consider doing a similar offer for TIG gas as I would go for that as well , he also said they may start up the MIG gas offer again in January but dont hold me to that .

I have just been told that although the offer is "officially finished" anyone ringing up the contact details on this thread are still getting the offer by mentioning volkszone whilst a new deal is being looked into

thought the price is up slightly due to the january VAT increase to £ 61.63 all in

I've been playing phone tag this week with Justin. The upshot is that the offer still seems to be on - my account's set up and I should collect the bottle this weekend or early next week. As mentioned before, the price has gone up slightly due to the VAT increase.

As i'm getting short of argon co2 and my useual informal supplies are dissappering
i think this offer may be the only reasonable way forward . I've managed for 10 years as i'm a hobby user .

The offer is still on as i phoned today to find out. The annual rental is fixed at £35.77 for the second year. Also asked about Argon but still nothing doing YET.

The account is set up and held by Justins branch in Manchester the details are sent to your local depot for collection and payment you have to contact Justin in the first instance( maybee i should have read the small print)

Couldnt have been more friendly and helpfull,,so BOC now own my soul
aparently the offer was set for a finite time but they have had permission to honour anyone who is replying to the original offer.
