I am intrigued. A guy local to me on Facebook is selling a Guild Polisher. But I can only find a guild grinder.
I check his profile and find he is responsible for most , if not all the polishing machine ads I have seen on Facebook locally for months by the looks of it

Does it look to you guys if he is just adding extended spindle mops and calling them polishing machines?

Something like that, this comes up searching for that model number. I dont know if clarke make the extra bits as a kit or sell it like that too but Id say cheaper to start from a new one. Either way, 150w it will be rubbish.

Polishers usually need more horses than bench grinding, as theres much higher friction?

anything under 1 hp isnt up to much using 6 inch wheels

Been thinking of putting adaptors on my 8" screwfix titan grinder for using a red mop on to polish stainless exhaust pipes before welding its 450 watt I take it it would be useless

depends on what size mops you use using. the smaller diameter ones will give more torque and keep the speed up to give more heat polishing

better off with scotchpads or simlar on an angle grinder that big

If it is 'Guild' branded don't buy it. They are the cheap crap that you get from Argos, etc. I've had some of their tools apart & they make Silverline look good!
