Triple panel radiator

Anyone here have triple panel radiators.?
My neighbour with an enormous kitchen was asking me about getting more heat.
There is nowhere for an additional radiator so my thoughts were to upgrade to a triple from a double.
These triple panels are quite expensive, so I want to be sure of the benefits before fitting one for them.
Any other suggestions.?
The previous owner (moneybags with no sense) fitted electric underfloor heating which sends the electric meter
into freefall.

depending on your rads read the btu outputs

enclosed gives you an 1000 extra btu compared to a standared double fin rad with also another ft on end gives even more

but make sure it does not over rate the boilers btus

Taller rads?

Are the doubles actually doubles or a singles with a double finned area?

Increase the system temp flowing through the rad will help.

If other areas are ok try reducing the flow via the lock shield valve to those pushing more water volume through that one.

Tall rad not possible because its under a window, it is a double.
The boiler isn’t stressed, they only heat the ground floor.

buy another radiator and fit elsewhere

if not your stuck buying an expensive rad instead

I ended up fitting 3 water to air kick board heater at a mates place due to the size of his open plan kitchen

Ditto either electric or plumbed / electric plinth heater.

Triple rads are heavy and expensive, but on the same size rad they have a 1/3 more output than a double

Its unlikely to be a matter of balancing unless it is flat cold

Is that fact or supposition? I would be looking for real world specification comparisons. I’m sure some will be better than others.

as plumbers we have given them our advice

its up to them if they use it or not

we dont question others on there jobs

after that its up to them to search or find out themselves

It's a feeling you quickly develop on here. I'm not sure which is the worst faux pas, answering with information based on experience and qualification, or asking about something you have no knowledge of. Both seem to be met with an avalanche of guesses, supposition, contradiction and random unrelated 'stuff'.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum who provide good advice. The problem is sorting the wheat from the chaff within a series of replies all given with complete conviction.

True but then the wrong replies dont get challenged so get added to the communal knowledge as being correct.

As you might have noticed in the isocyanate fogging thread, if I know what I am talking about from personal experience I give the answer once, then disengage when argued with. It just isn't worth the effort to have a battle of wits when your opponent is clearly unarmed. Reasoned discussion and difference of OPINION are a totally different matter of course.

Fill the system with Mercury instead of water then you can run the rads up to 356.7°c
