It was the lack of folding and anodising capability that made me buy one.
Still toying with the idea of getting a bench brake so I could likely do the folding but the only place locally that does anodising are not great I have a few things done in the past and I was not too happy with quality and especially the cost for such a poor job.
Anodising can be a bit hit and miss, fortunately Mansfield is not far from me.
Have you thought of just a quick Scotchbrite and leave?
I have also found the Simoniz Tough Black is good and use the Satin for a quick durable finish on my bike bits which need painting.

Will probably go with powder coating although I have heard horror stories about that. I got the stainless gates I made powder coated and they are fine after a few years and so far after a year or two some aluminium handrails I made have been fine as well.

Nah, would maybe look good on a hardly driveable but don't think it would look good on a matt black AT.

If you are making them to sell go with powder coating or leave plain so the end user can decide.
If for me I'd go for the Tough Satin Black paint, easy to alter if other brackets need to be added and won't lift around the countersunk holes.

Not planning on selling, too much work the way I am going it at present. If I get a small press brake that would would bend them then that would cut out a lot of work and maybe make it viable. Do I really want to deal with the public though ?

Also made freeplay disappear, should have taken a vid of it before I modified it but suffice to say it was quite significant and seems to be a feature of nearly all bikes with fly by wire throttles, not sure why they do it but it is annoying.
