I had them put a 20mm bore in for me to pick up. A water jet hole is no where near round enough or tight enough in tolerance to put a reamer through.Curious, why not water jet the bore too? Or mostly, then ream?
Or, do the bore then water jet the outer shape.
Not my area of expertise, that isn't criticism, just wondered why it was done that way.
To be honest the location of this bore doesn't really matter. As long as the bore dimensions are correct and both sides are flat, I can then put the lid on the pump with the shaft assembled, then clamp the lot together and dowel the lid.
Once doweled, I can take the lid on and off as many times as I like to get the 6 hole bolt pattern right
