Is there any reason why you should not use a CO2 /argon mix not in the vertical position.
I was thinking of putting my welder under the worktop but the gas bottle would not fit so would have to have it horizontal
I know that it the rule for acetylene, because of the wading material the acetylene is soaked in iirc, don't quote me on this though, I could quite possibly be very wrong.
For Co2/Argon I do not know.
There's a dip tube from the outlet valve to the bottom of the cylinder, when/if the cylinder is layed in a horizontal position the end of the dip tube could be out of the liquid gas

Not in Argo/co2 and only in some cylinders which dispense liquid co2 there is a dip tube but those cylinders have a stripe on the side to denote the dip tube.
