The wheels are the same, but have been 'hollow ground' to form a cutting edge and are presented at the correct angle to cut rather than form the work.

Got the hopper lifted on just before midday @Jim Davey and @andymdavey82 should own this crane

Anyway got the legs chopped to length, made some steel brackets and welded them to the gallusses then bolted the hopper to them. Still have a few bits and pieces to finish off tomorrow and then that will be me finished.
Not liking the look of it, too square for my tastes but couldn't do anything else with the room I had and having to keep capacity to the maximum I could. It should look better once the shelter deck is on, I was asked to do that as well but too old for that kind of thing nowadays so it is being done by someone else.

In continuing from my pipe bender stand.
I made a clamp for the "manual to air/hydraulic conversion"

I couldn't justify the £150 option so a pop to my local steel guy and he had some 89mm x 5mm wall stainless pipe. Perfect!
Made the flanges and some links and fits.
Hopefully find some 1¼ galv tomorrow and give it a test bend.

Now that it's cool, the ram has been mounted and moving.
Hopefully get some pipe tomorrow and put it through its paces,
Want to find a return spring/bungie for ease.

I turned up a seal insertion ring for a mate. It is the first thing I have made since the move! Nothing exciting but it is a start

I’ve used some oil soaked paper wrapped around the shaft for the seal to slide on, once it’s in position the paper pulls out.

Hopper finished this morning.
Cut a couple more bits from 12mm steel to weld to the plates on the deck then bolt the hopper legs to them.

Bolted the sorting tray on properly and also the basket holder.

In down position.

And both folded out of the way.

Some brackets for holding sensors gussets a bit overkill

and 2 forklift barriers was welded after I took the pic . Made a load of stainless fencing for around a machine but forgot to take a pic of it
