VFD swap

I really need to upgrade my vfd from the little danfoss to this beefier chinese inverter, only I’m confused as there is no earth (or ground) on the new one if set up for 1-3ph. The danfoss (pictures last) has a common earth. I’m confused.

I had that on mine. I just drilled a hole into the ally heatsink on the back and attached my earth to that.

That was going to be my own fix, I wondered if there was a more sophisticated method than my usual butchery!

As long as the input & output earth connections are joined, it should be fine, it's a protective, not functional earth connection. You could just connect them together with a DIN rail connector or similar.
