Ah, right - in that case, how about grinding a locknut or similar to fit inside and soldering / epoxy-ing it in place or a copper nut like thisThere's nothing wrong with the one that's there only it's brass and not copper and will stand out like a sore thumb.
It's threaded in (M13) and will more than likely have a spot of solder to keep it in place as its going to have a pendant and glass shade hanging from it.
You'd think that. (Un)fortunately we have some very picky clients (usually designers) and they pay a pretty penny so has to be spot on.If it was for me the copper and brass contrast looks fine![]()
True, most 'copper' stuff is an alloy or plated. Lightning protection stuff is Phosphor Bronze, apart from the copper tape, obviously.Copper would be totally crap if used for either nuts or bolts, it is far too soft. Ammonia turns brass a nice bronze/copper colour in seconds, try it.
They will be in once and hopefully stay there for the rest of their days! Yes it's a light fitting. It's a 5m frame in a loop shape with 8 or 10 pendants hanging off it. It's going to be sent flat packed for shipping but that's easy enough for us to sort.Don't suppose the softness will be a problem they wont be in and out a great deal I would think.
Are they lighting fittings @Ctreanor13 ? this I listed was . I turned up all others were specialized bits, we used this Co on lightning damage prevention
There other Co

I would say budget yes. However, our lovely CNC lathe is out of service for quite a while.i dare say something will be ground down or the copper chord grips inserted directly and soldered in. I've passed all onto the design team and the fabrication team too so hopefully some solution will be found. Is there the budget to machine and solder those nuts I linked
