Dhl the best.
Fedex and tnt sadly the same company now.
UPS not much experience of.
Rates are crazy for all of them due to the shortage of aircraft.
If you get hit with silly fees we can probably help. Our rates tend to get cheaper on the bigger stuff over 30kg.

Im using fedex for all my outgoing at present. Theyre not cheap, but next day across most of the EU, and 48hrs to the states.

I use UPS to the states also, but not in the EU as they pay no attention to whats written on the docs, and try and charge people handling anyway.

I bought some carbide drills off aliexpress recently, its not a site i buy off much, hardly ever, but they seem to be able to dodge import taxes by offering where the goods are delivered from, usually Poland or now Spain.

My brother ordered glasses from zenni optical. Great service and very cheap as usual. Shipping was a very odd route. Came via Lithuania. Delivered by Royal Mail.

Did he get stung for import duty though ? There seems to be a dodge or work-round by the Chinese to get their goods here without tax.

Ali express has IOSS registration, and whatever the UK equivalent is now. So you are taxed at source, hence no import fees.

This was not the case previously, but is now.

note: my assumption is that they are ioss compliant. they have certainly been running the UK equivalent since close to the start of the year.

eBay now also collects vat. I'm not sure if it's totally inclusive but virtually everything I've seen now gets changed vat on checkout. I think the UK limit is £130 and your euro limit is 150. I'm unsure how it's handled beyond that, but certianly under the IOSS threshold eBay should take the vat off you at checkout and the goods are then delivered without handling charges.

No nothing. Zenni cheap less than £20 Inc shipping for prescription glasses.

I would not be unhappy if this starting to add VAT to items coming from China meant we could buy the equivalent in the UK.....but we can't . All this has done is put the price of everything up with no benefits to the buyer.

they generally have no issues marking something worth 100s as under a fiver lol

Ordered some bits for my CT125 on Saturday night from Thailand. Turned up today , DHL. Quicker than most companies in the UK.
