Anyone had any experience of diagnostic software I can load onto a laptop that’ll cover Mitsubishi please? Specifically L200 and Canter. 2012 L200 and 15 Canter

I’ve a USB>OBD2 cable already.

It’s only for my own trucks so don’t want to spend out on dealer level stuff but everything has a code and / or light now and it’s handy to be able to reset them

edit - quick google has found it. I would need an android emulator. I think. I will investigate more later when im in the orifice.

im trying to keep everything like that on the laptop so it’s all in one place.

I've used bluestacks as an android emulator before, seemed to be the go to at the time.

@James1979 , let me know if you have any luck please , I have a l200 (10) with flashing abs light , and traction lights on that I cant suss out , only advice so far has been box of matches.., I full rebuilt the engine last year and it runs great but cant mot test untill I have sorted lights, apolagise for cutting into your thread,good luck by the way . I used delphi which actually seemed to cause the abs light problem.

I used it with an IPTV app so I already had the .apk file. I also acquired the Torque Pro file so didn't need to pay for that. Send me a message if you'd like any more information

No problem. I’ve had 2 canters the last couple of weeks that I’ve been asked to look at with ABS fault lights on co incedentally. Neither mine. I don’t ‘do’ vehicles as such but they belong to an existing customer so hey ho.

Borrowed a laptop with Delphi from a pal and the first one it thinks is an 07 L200 and won’t let me argue with it. Second one it recognises correctly but says no fault codes so not struck on Delphi from what I have experienced.

What age is your L200? I have workshop manual as pdf

One of the Delphi clone would work well.

Or of wanting something a bit nicer look into the launch tablets or similar.

Delphi will do L200s up to fairly recently.
It had very limited functionality on Canters.

The issue with Canters, is they are not that common, so most diagnostic manufacturer's don't put much effort in to developing the software for them.
I know Jaltest covers Canters quite well, but it's not something you'd buy or pay the license for, just to fix the odd one.

Sometimes !
Unplugging the ABS sensors, and refitting, remaking the connection, will cure ABS light faults.
If they work, the light will go out of its own accord.
edit:- I use Delphi, on an old Think Pad laptop running XP

ABS sensors could be tested by back probing (ooh err) the connector where it goes into the ABS module (ideally so you test the cables too) and monitor on a scope whilst giving the wheel a spin. You can get PC based oscilloscopes reasonably cheaply. Or buy a Picoscope which are great but pricey.

That’s a good idea. I have checked continuity / resistance from the module for each ‘leg’ on one vehicle but all resistance works fine on that one. Thinking it may be a bit more,or I have taken the sensors and rings off to check / clean and then replaced, so I may have fixed the fault but as it thinks it’s an L200 it won’t let me reset it. Maybe.
