Any plumbers in the house?

Got some wallpaper peeling off the wall and when pulled away we discovered some copper radiator piping embedded in the wall. Pipes have been plastered over and the wall papered.
How do we line the pipes and stop the paper peeling off again?

are the pipes wrapped in tape?

Not sure what you mean by relining the pipes?
They probably have pin holes where the plaster has reacted with the copper and its rotted

Pipes not taped but may have pin holes. Assume new pipes and taped then, is it OK to then plaster over obviously there will be some big temperature variations.

Swap them to 10mm plastic, cover with aluminium tape so can be found in future

Or you could replace them with Speedfit plastic pipe if you can get to them above the ceiling. Be sure to use the barrier pipe though.

only way to stop it is by giving it depth

I like petro tape for this job

I don't think plaster will stick well to that!
